NFL scouts reveal Packers’ bold move for Jordan Love ahead of Week 16

The Green Bay Packers have seen their playoff hopes dwindle over the last two games. After winning three in a row to return to the NFC postseason, they have lost two in a row, putting their chances in jeopardy once again. In Week 14, the Packers traveled to host the New York Giants. It was a back-and-forth affair, as Green Bay’s offense probably wasn’t as aggressive as it once was without Aaron Jones and wide receiver Christian Watson.

But Love did enough to help his team win. He scored a touchdown with 1 minute 33 seconds left in the game, giving his team a 22-21 lead. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to get the job done as the defense broke down, Tommy DeVito led the Giants down the field for Randy Bullock’s game-winning field goal.In Week 15, the Packers return home to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a must-win game, Green Bay’s defense came up short again. Baker Mayfield had the best game by a visiting player in Lambeau Field history, putting together a historic performance to lead the Buccaneers to a 34-20 victory. The Packers have a lot to be thankful for in the 2024 offseason. There are building blocks on both sides of the ball, but something is still missing. The quarterback position is not one of the areas in need of repair, according to NFL scouts who spoke with the NFL Analysis Network. Scout thinks Love will be a long-term starting point.

“He’s proven everything the Packers need to see. This kid has everything to be special. “I wouldn’t say he’s the third Hall of Fame quarterback in Green Bay, but I think he has that ceiling,” the scout said.Love definitely got better as the season went on. The 2020 first-round pick weathered the storm despite injuries to the support staff around him.

The offensive line was hit at times, and his skill position players often lacked a full complement of players.Running a roster with one of the youngest offenses in the NFL is a tall order. Especially when Love has no season experience. But he played well and showed great signs of improvement. With a few tweaks to the offense, Love should be more effective under center in 2024.
