Bobby Brown returning to Patriots in executive role after stint with Texans, per report

Bobby Brown will return to his administrative role with the New England Patriots after a one-year absence, according to a report Wednesday by KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson.

Brown left in 2023 to become the assistant director of football administration for the Houston Texans. He worked in the salary cap department alongside his brother Andrew Brown, director of football administration for the AFC South champions.Brown previously spent seven seasons in Foxborough, winning Super Bowl LI and Super Bowl LIII rings.

He originally joined the Patriots in 2016 as an equipment intern before becoming the assistant football operations and eventually the organization’s assistant director of football administration. His responsibilities in the latter role, which spanned three campaigns, included coordinating football operations and travel logistics.

A native of Massachusetts, Brown graduated from Gordon College and earned a master’s degree in leadership and administration with a concentration in sports leadership from Boston College.

While doing that, he worked with the Eagles football program for two seasons. In an additional move, New England hired Alonzo Highsmith, the University of Miami’s general manager of football operations, as their front office manager.
