Just in: Cleveland browns confirm the appointment of a new….

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski has officially finished his offensive line after making a number of changes this offseason.Cleveland will hire former Seahawks offensive line coach Andy Dickerson to replace Bill Callahan, according to multiple reports, including the MMQB’s Albert Breer. The Browns interviewed Dickerson as part of their offensive coordinator search a few weeks ago, but ultimately chose Ken Dorsey for the role.Many speculated that the conversation between Cleveland and Dickerson could be a prelude to Callahan leaving the team to join his son Brian’s staff in Tennessee.

 

Dickerson also interviewed for the Bengals’ offensive coordinator job vacated by Brian Callahan.There have also been reports linking Dickerson to the Patriots, who recently hired Browns-fired OC Alex Van Pelt as their CO. In the end, New England hired Cleveland head coach Scott Peters because of the vacancy.Dickerson had ties to Cleveland and the Patriots during his coaching career. His coaching career began as an operations intern at New England State in 2004, where he won a Super Bowl with the franchise.A graduate of Tufts University, he spent two years in Cleveland from 2009 to 2010, initially serving as an offensive assistant. He had two seasons with the Browns. Dickerson’s longest tenure with a team was from 2012 to 2020, where he was an assistant coach for the Rams. He spent the past three seasons with the Seahawks and served as the team’s offensive line coach the past two seasons.
