The Cleveland Browns found their top recruit after losing one of the NFL’s best assistants. When Bill Callahan left for the Tennessee Titans, the Browns lost a coach who was considered one of the best offensive line coaches of all time. Now the Browns have replaced them. A few weeks ago, the Browns interviewed Andy Dickerson for the offensive coordinator position. Dickerson will join the team as offensive line coach, first reported by Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.Dickerson was the offensive line coach for two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and will remain with the entire team through 2021.
Before joining the Seahawks, Dickerson was the Rams assistant coach from 2012 to 2020. Interestingly, this is not Dickerson’s first time with the Browns. In 2009, Dickerson became Cleveland’s quality control defensive backs coach. The following season, Dickerson became the Browns’ assistant coach. He entered the NFL as an intern with Washington and New England in the early 2000s.Cleveland’s offensive line has been strong for years, and the running game has also been a focal point. Both are something Dickerson needs to continue to develop. After making many changes in the attacking formation, he was lined up with some big names in it.
