Breaking news: Cleveland browns already making plans for a new….

What a tangled web the future Browns stadium negotiations are. Most of the conversation about where the Browns will play football long-term took place in closed-door meetings between the city of Cleveland and team owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam. The latter suddenly made a strategic move that could reveal the new location of the future stadium.According to a report by Ken Pendergas of the NEO Trans blog, Haslam has closed a deal to purchase 176 acres of land in Brookpark, which could be a viable location for the next Browns location.

The parcel begins approximately 1,000 feet from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and is located between Snow Street on the southeast side of the airport. And 71 tracks. It’s unclear if the Haslams are buying the property with the intention of building a new stadium for the Browns, but news of the deal only adds to speculation that that’s the plan. It can also serve as a reminder to landlords that the city has ready-made properties if city officials are unable to meet the demand for new space.
