Before we know it, the Cleveland Browns will be at a crossroads where the team plays football.Lakeside Stadium’s current lease expires after the 2028 season. News broke today that the Brown family plans to purchase over 400 acres of land in Brook Park, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland.The team released a statement after news of the new country broke. “We understand how complex the future planning of the stadium will be. One certainty is our commitment to significantly enhance our fan experience with a transformative and lasting impact for the benefit of all of Northeast Ohio.

 

We understand the range of potential for stadium projects aimed at bringing large-scale events to the region and approach each opportunity systematically. We appreciate the collaborative process with the City of Cleveland and Mayor Beebe’s leadership in reviewing the overpass and upgrading the current stadium. In addition, other possible stadium options are being explored at several additional locations in Northeast Ohio as part of a larger planning effort. “There is still a lot of work and due diligence to be done before a long-term solution for the stadium can be put in place and further updates will be shared in due course.”The Browns have several options.

 

Maybe your current location has been upgraded or moved 10 miles south.The Ducks will be in line as major changes will take place if fans get to watch their favorite Browns for multiple seasons. Let’s see if it’s a transfer or a major upgrade.
