Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is under fire after a prominent NFL analyst delivered a scathing critique of his performance in the team’s recent loss to the Denver Broncos. Labeling Njoku’s showing as “a big joke,” the analyst highlighted costly errors and a lack of impact in a game where the Browns desperately needed their playmakers to step up.
“David Njoku is supposed to be one of the top weapons in this offense, but he was virtually invisible out there,” the analyst said during a post-game breakdown. “For a guy with his size, speed, and athletic ability, it’s unacceptable to have such a minimal impact in a critical matchup.”
Njoku finished the game with only four catches for 28 yards, failing to make significant plays to aid his struggling quarterback. Even worse, a crucial drop in the red zone snuffed out one of Cleveland’s best chances to stay competitive against a surging Broncos team.
Fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment, with some echoing the analyst’s frustration. “Njoku has all the tools to be elite, but he just doesn’t show up when it matters most,” one fan wrote. Others defended him, citing poor quarterback play and a lack of offensive rhythm as contributing factors to his underwhelming performance.
This isn’t the first time Njoku has faced criticism for inconsistency, but with the Browns fighting for playoff contention, all eyes will be on him to deliver in the coming weeks. Whether he rises to the occasion or continues to draw fire remains to be seen.
