“There’s uncertainty in pro sports,” Stefanski said. “There’s uncertainty in the NFL. We trust in the guys we have and in our plan to rebuild, but uncertainty at any position is just part of this league.”
The term *uncertainty* looms large over the Browns’ quarterback room. While Watson’s restructured contract likely keeps him as the starter for 2025, his $46 million salary—fully guaranteed—makes moving on from him financially difficult. Winston, who started 12 games, is set to become a free agent. Meanwhile, Thompson-Robinson showed occasional promise but remains unproven, and Zappe’s performance hasn’t inspired confidence.
With the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Browns are poised to make a franchise-defining decision.
