According to NFL insider Dianna Russini, speaking on *Scoop City*, the Browns are preparing to move forward without Watson, who has faced both disappointing performances and a recent setback in his recovery from season-ending surgery. Russini revealed that the Browns are heavily focused on selecting a quarterback with their second overall pick, a move that aligns with their plans to revamp the quarterback room.
This decision isn’t entirely unexpected, given Watson’s underwhelming tenure since joining the team in a high-profile trade. Over three seasons, Watson has played just 19 games, posting a 9-10 record as a starter. His production has significantly declined, failing to surpass 1,200 passing yards in any season, a stark contrast to his league-leading days with the Houston Texans.
As for potential draft targets, the Browns are reportedly eyeing two standout prospects: Miami’s Cam Ward, a Heisman Trophy finalist, and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.
