Mark Pope gives fans best possible injury update on star player ahead of Tennessee clash

Kentucky Wildcats head coach Mark Pope has provided an encouraging update regarding the team’s injury situation ahead of their upcoming clash against the Tennessee Volunteers. Starting point guard Lamont Butler, who recently returned to action after a shoulder injury, is listed as probable for the game, indicating he is expected to play. Butler’s presence is anticipated to significantly bolster the Wildcats’ backcourt.

However, the team will be without guard Jaxson Robinson, who suffered a wrist injury during a recent practice. Robinson’s absence will be felt, but the return of Butler provides a much-needed boost as Kentucky aims for consecutive victories.

The Wildcats are set to host the No. 5 Volunteers at Rupp Arena, with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN.
