Kentucky wild cats star confirms this season would be his last at Kentucky

Kentucky Wildcats’ standout outside linebacker, JJ Weaver, has announced that the current season will be his final one with the team. Weaver, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 255 pounds, has been a pivotal player for the Wildcats, appearing in 48 games and starting 29 over his tenure.

His impressive statistics include 165 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and two interceptions. Despite facing significant challenges, including a severe knee injury in 2020 and personal tragedy with the loss of his father, Weaver has demonstrated resilience and leadership, serving as a team captain for the past two years. As he embarks on his final season, both the coaching staff and fans are eager to see him conclude his collegiate career on a high note.
