The Kentucky Wildcats received a major boost as the medical team provided a highly positive update on Antonio Reeves’ injury status. The senior guard, who suffered an ankle sprain during the Wildcats’ recent victory over Tennessee, is recovering ahead of schedule, raising hopes for his return to action soon.
“Antonio is making great progress in rehab,” said Dr. Mark Stevenson, the team’s head physician. “He’s responding well to treatment, and if everything continues on this path, he could be back on the court sooner than expected.”
Reeves has already started light shooting drills and is expected to gradually increase his activity over the next week. While the coaching staff is taking a cautious approach, there is optimism that he will be available for the Wildcats’ upcoming SEC showdown against Arkansas.
Fans have flooded social media with support, eagerly awaiting Reeves’ return as Kentucky continues its push for a strong finish in the season. Coach John Calipari expressed confidence in his team’s depth but admitted that having Reeves back at full strength would be a huge boost for their tournament aspirations.
