Kentucky wild cats looses star to season ending injury….

The season has come to an end for Kentucky Wildcats guard Jaxson Robinson.

Following Saturday’s loss to the Auburn Tigers, head coach Mark Pope announced that Robinson was done for the season due to a tear in his right shooting wrist.

More specifically, it’s a torn sub-sheath to Robinson’s ECU tendon.

“There’s no way that he’ll be able to play,” said Pope, adding that it’s a three-month recovery, so he’s out until May or June.

Thus ends the Kentucky and college career for the fifth-year senior who followed Pope over to Lexington from BYU.

Just a brutal day all around in Lexington after getting shellacked at home by the top-ranked Tigers to add insult to injury. The most painful part of this is that Robinson won’t get to end his career in the NCAA Tournament.

With that, Kentucky will now rely heavily on Koby Brea as a starting guard instead of coming off the bench like he did when Robinson and Lamont Butler were healthy. Other guys like Trent Noah, Travis Perry, and Ansley Almonor will also need to help pick up the slack.
