Italian skiing star Federica Brignone has been discharged from the hospital after suffering a leg fracture during training last week. The overall World Cup champion, known for her dominance on the slopes and fierce competitive spirit, is now beginning her road to recovery.
Brignone sustained the injury during a high-speed training session in the Alps, where she reportedly lost balance during a turn and crashed. Medical teams quickly transported her to a nearby hospital, where she underwent successful surgery to stabilize the fracture.
In a statement released by her team, Brignone expressed gratitude to the medical staff and her supporters. “I’m incredibly thankful for the care I received and the messages of love and strength from fans around the world,” she said. “This isn’t the end – just another mountain to climb.”
Doctors say her rehabilitation will take several months, and while it’s too early to determine a return date, Brignone remains optimistic about getting back on the slopes.
The skiing world will be watching closely as one of its brightest stars begins her recovery journey.
