Mohamed Salah’s contribution to Liverpool’s comeback victory over Wolves has once again left Alan Shearer speechless.
The Reds defeated Gary O’Neil’s team at Molineux by coming back from a goal down to maintain their unbeaten start to the new campaign. After Hwang Hee-chan scored after only seven minutes, Wolves dominated the first half and took the lead deservingly. With only five minutes remaining in regulation, Andy Robertson gave the Reds the lead on his 200th Premier League outing. Harvey Elliott’s subsequent goal, an own goal off of Hugo Bueno in stoppage time, gave the Reds the victory.
Salah, however, contributed to all three of Liverpool’s goals, with the best of his assists coming when he set up Robertson to give Liverpool the lead for the first time in the game. Shearer, a former Premier League champion, was incredibly impressed. He said on Match of the Day, “Look at this for a weight of pass.”. Robertson makes the opening pass, and he takes that one.
