To get neutrals to recognize Mo Salah’s talent, it has taken an incredibly high level of persuasion. As evidenced by his most recent tweet on X, Sky Sports’ Paul Merson still believes that the Liverpool wide player doesn’t receive the respect he merits in the sport.
The 31-year-old (signed for £34.3m back in 2017, according to Sky Sports) is truly at the pinnacle of his powers with seven goal contributions to his name this season, not to mention a whopping 46 amassed in 2022/23 despite the difficulties Jurgen Klopp’s men were experiencing across the pitch.
As long as he is a Liverpool player, let’s cherish Mo Salah. It’s important to remember how fortunate we all are, neutrals and Liverpool fans alike, to be experiencing true greatness at this time amid all the links, ongoing speculation, and discussions surrounding Saudi interest and the timing of potentially selling Salah.
There can be no denying that, as he ranks among our all-time top five goal scorers. Let’s make sure we are appreciating every moment, every breathtaking slalom dribble, and every jaw-dropping goal if this is the Egyptian King’s final season at Anfield, a possibility that will (and should) break the hearts of Merseyside and the world’s fanbase. Take it all in; genius of this caliber doesn’t occur frequently.
