Not Osimhen: Liverpool repeatedly probe Serie A goalscorer amid Mo Salah questions

Liverpool and Chelsea have sent scouts to monitor Nico Gonzalez “multiple times”.This comes courtesy of Italian journalist Calcio Mercato (via Sport Witness ), who now understand that Fiorentina will only let the player leave for a fee of between €55m and €60m (£48m pounds – 52.3 million pounds). This is an interesting connection. Given the player’s young profile (25 years old) and favorable circumstances as a right-wing striker, it can even be said that he is more interesting than the rumors linking Manchester United to Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.

Gonzalez turns 26 in April, but is technically outside the desired age range. Our recruiting team prefers this to increase our interest during the summer. But with seven goals and two assists in 11 games (all competitions) this season, the Serie A star is already making it easy for our decision-makers to overlook these little inconsistencies.

This is something to keep an eye on, especially if Mo Salah does not confirm the remainder of his contract at Anfield or decides not to extend it beyond the summer of 2025.
