Stefan Bajcetic admits Mo Salah lesson in dealing with “cruel” injury layoff

Stefan Baicetic has spoken about the “brutal” nature of the injury problem and detailed some of the lessons he has learned from Mohamed Salah.

The 19-year-old played just 72 minutes of football after suffering an adductor problem which prematurely ended his 2022/23 season in March. Bajcetic had a breakout season before his injury and has become a regular in Jurgen Klopp’s midfield despite his age.He returned briefly for the games against LASK and Leicester in September, but fitness issues prevented him from making a full return.

Speaking about his struggles, Baicetic spoke of his desire to overcome the injury and continue playing, as well as his disappointment when he heard the details of the scan.“I had the same injury before but at the same time I thought it was the same when I was sick. But in my mind, “it can’t be the same anymore. We have to keep playing,” the midfielder told the club’s official website.Linz, Austria – Thursday, September 21, 2023: Stefan Weicetic of Liverpool during the UEFA Europa League Group E 1 match between LASK and Liverpool FC at Raiffeisen Arena.

Liverpool won 3-1. “But I did the scan. The scan is very rigorous. They always look the same. I remember I was at home and they called me and said, “You’re having a stress reaction.””Of course, it was a difficult moment, but I think we overcame it well. We saw this as an opportunity to strengthen and improve in some areas.

I was just trying to stay positive mentally. “I can’t stop thinking about what I would have done then. I could do [what my peers were doing if they were healthy].“So I think it’s definitely difficult. Go to the gym and count the days until you come back.Baycetic made 19 appearances for United last season, including a Champions League start against Real Madrid at Anfield in February.

Although his recovery has not been as smooth as he had hoped, he believes Salah is a good example of how he should behave off the pitch to regain his fitness. “I pick players who are very disciplined. I think that’s the difficult thing.” continued the Spaniard. LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND – SATURDAY 19 AUGUST 2023: Liverpool substitute Stefan Vaicetic warms up during the English Premier League match between Liverpool FC and AFC Bournemouth at Anfield.

Liverpool won 3-1. “For example, Mo is very disciplined in the team, he always eats well and always goes to the gym. “On days when it’s a tough session and I’m really tired, that’s the day 90 percent of people say, ‘Okay, that was a tough session.’ I’m going home and resting.” “He doesn’t do that.” He goes to the gym and works even if he doesn’t want to. “That’s what I have to learn from him.

I think I’m very disciplined on the court and very competitive on the court, so it’s the opposite of being lazy on the court. “But off the field, there are days when I’m mentally strong and I’m like, ‘OK, I don’t want to do this, but it’s part of the job.’
