Andy Robertson provides injury update: “Surgery was a success”

Andy Robertson spoke positively about surgery on his dislocated shoulder but could not confirm when he would be back.

The left-back suffered the injury while playing for Scotland last October and is expected to be out until 2024. Klopp later confirmed fans’ fears by revealing that Robertson would need surgery on a shoulder problem, but it appears that at least part of the process went smoothly. The Scotland captain gave fans their first glimpse of his fitness in the 3-3 draw with Norway at Hampden Park. “I’m getting there slowly and surely. “The operation went well, that’s the most important thing, there were no complications or anything,” the Liverpool number 26 told Viaplay Sports. “So far so good. It’s been about 3 weeks since the surgery so I think I’m doing well.

You have to take it a little at a time each week.”So far so good and hopefully it will stay that way and before we know it we’ll be back on grass.”Liverpool have a busy fixture list awaiting their return to Kirkby this week, with the next international break not until March. Robertson hopes to return soon, but when asked about an exact recovery date, he said he is not putting any pressure on himself.“I haven’t looked that far yet. “I try to take it every week.

I try not to get upset. I try to get little wins every week because injuries are not the best,” he continued.“I don’t want to have competition on my mind and then I’ll either miss it or come back early. I’m just taking it slow, but there will definitely be a time when I have to push, and when that time comes, I’ll try to get out as fast as possible.
