Kylian Mbappè addresses future as Chelsea targets another transfer that rejected Liverpool

Several Liverpool players have been in action for their respective countries over the past few days. Dominik Szoboszlai was in top form for Hungary, scoring twice and providing an assist in a 3-1 win over Montenegro that secured top spot in their qualification group, while Mohamed Salah scored four goals for Egypt against Djibouti and was surrounded by pitch invaders during the 2-0 away win against Sierra Leone.

Virgil van Dijk played for the Netherlands in a 1-0 win against Ireland, while Trent Alexander-Arnold could feature for England in their away fixture against North Macedonia and Liverpool’s South American contingent of Luis Díaz, Darwin Núñez and Alisson will likely feature in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers tomorrow.

The international break always causes frustration for fans of club football, with supporters eager for the familiarity of the domestic game and the constant flow of matches and excitement.

Kylian Mbappè brushes off future talk
French superstar Kylian Mbappè brushed off speculation surrounding his future while on international duty with France.

Mbappè’s contract is expiring at the end of this season with Paris Saint-Germain, and he’s told the club he won’t extend his deal anymore, with a departure seemingly on the cards next June. The 24-year-old is away with his country after France demolished Gibraltar 14-0 and travel to face Greece in Athens tomorrow.

Speaking with French source Téléfoot (via Teamtalk), Mbappè said when asked about his future: “It’s something I don’t want to talk about, especially since I already did it in June and it took up a big part of the time with the national team.
