Just in;See four players set to leave this week…

The Detroit Lions had to make some tough decisions earlier this week, freeing up cap space by releasing veteran defensive end Isaiah Buggs. The problem is, it doesn’t get any easier from here. The Lions still need to clear more cap space. There is currently only one roster spot available. Lions need to go two more to contain C.J. Gardner-Johnson, James Huston and Aleem McNeil are on the list.In the morning, I looked at the roster and tried to figure out which players would make the most sense to move to create the necessary space. What I can say is that it was not easy for me. So I know it will be doubly difficult for the Lions.

Here are four players who will make room for returning players on the Lions’ 53-man roster.
Anthony Fixer
The Lions may have to take a risk with just two tight ends. It’s been a while since Brock Wright’s return. Wright didn’t practice before the Broncos game, but the injury shouldn’t be serious enough to place him on the bench, suggesting he could play again in the playoffs. Firkser played against the Vikings and Cowboys, but was rarely used. So going this route is probably the easiest. The Lions could waive him and return him to the practice squad if he clears waivers. You can proceed to the next step if necessary.

charles harris
There is no way around it. It’s terrible. Cut another veteran player before the playoffs. Harris has had some good moments in Detroit, but the problem is none of them are recent. Harris has played a total of 83 snaps since Week 6. His snap count has also steadily declined. He scored 11 goals in the last three games. The Lions kept him as a healthy scratch for several weeks. Harris had a great opportunity to work with the team after the season ended. You won’t want to see this. But he might be making a move right now.

Stephen Gilmore
You are taking a risk here. This team has had turnarounds all year, but none have been hit. This is Stephen Gilmore. He’s been on this list all season and for good reason. The Lions really like him and see him as part of their future. So there is a risk to cut him and hopefully bring him back to the practice squad. Many teams have not forgotten his good performance in the preseason. There is strong evidence that someone is making the claim. It’s going to be tough, but we have to reserve a spot on this roster for the guys we want to play in the playoffs.

Will Harris
Since Dan Campbell often enjoys Will Harris, he is probably the toughest of them all. It’s hard to miss someone who steps up when needed. The problem with Harris is that he causes problems for defenses when he’s stuffed. This may explain why it is much less populated.Kindle Vildor and Khalil Dorsey made Will Harris look a little old. Harris’ role was to be the setter, and now the Lions have two guys to do that job, and they’re both doing a good job. That’s why Harris has only played 13 times over the last six games. But how can you let him go when he’s going through a tough time with this team and they’re going through a good time? One training spot left. They can only hope he will rescind the waiver and put it there if he still wants to keep it. But they already have Craig James on the practice squad.
