Patriots’ Robert Kraft admitted ‘mistake’ to Tom Brady Sr.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft appears to still be upset that Tom Brady left the team as a free agent after the 2019 NFL season.Living legend Christopher L.

Gasper of The Boston Globe wrote an article published Wednesday about the club’s relationship with Kraft about the club honoring the seven-time Super Bowl champion in the 2023 regular season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 10. “He just said, ‘I made a mistake.’ He told us about it in September.” Brady Sr. recalled the conversation with Kraft. “Not all of us make good decisions, but he’s made a lot of good decisions over the years. But I know he was upset that Tommy went elsewhere and won.

He said he won, not that he won (former Patriots coach Bill Belichick).Belichick recently reported that “Brady never thought he would leave the Patriots” after 20 professional seasons with him.

Brady, of course, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2020 and led the club to a Super Bowl title in his first campaign as QB1.Meanwhile, Kraft and Belichick “mutually” agreed to part ways earlier this month after New England failed to make the playoffs for the third time since Brady left. “Tom Brady Sr. said he really doesn’t know the current state of the Brady-Belichick relationship,” Gasper wrote, but he called Belichick, 46, “the best coach of all time” on Tuesday.

Brady also said most of the stories about the alleged feud between him and Belichick were “false” and mostly had to do with “people trying to break things up.”Regardless of what Brady and Belichick thought of each other in February 2020, Kraft now wonders what would have happened if he had stepped in and made sure the future Hall of Famer would retire with the same club.
