Panic gripped Cleveland Browns fans before Week 2 when star pass rusher Myles Garrett appeared on the team’s injury report with a foot injury.
The illness was worrisome enough that the defensive player of the year will miss Thursday’s practice. However, he came back a day later and explained that it was something he would have to take care of. Fast forward and Garrett appeared to be doing more than just damage monitoring during an 18-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“I didn’t feel too good,” Garrett said of his foot after the game. “I struggled with it and there were ups and downs. Sometimes it was a little better, sometimes a little worse. But that’s part of the game.”

Garrett was notably absent for more games than usual on Sunday as he spent time on the sidelines tending to his injury. The injury first surfaced late in the second quarter, after Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence broke off a 33-yard run with 6:28 left in the half.
Throughout the second half, that’s where Garrett really seemed to feel, as he was seen kneeling on the sideline on several occasions. Ultimately, this looks like something that is meant to prevent Watson from moving forward, which could be a bit of a concern with 15 games remaining.
Likewise, Garrett is no stranger to playing through injuries. Last season, he injured his shoulder in the Week 12 loss to the Broncos and finished the season without missing a game — except for an inconsequential play in Week 18 against the Bengals. However, he only recorded one more sack in the last six games he played. At the very least, Garrett’s leg injury will be something to watch from week to week.
