The New England Patriots are gearing up for a Thursday Night Football game against their old rivals, the New York Jets, tomorrow night. However, another news has come about a player who was playing for the franchise. Patrick Pass, a former Patriots linebacker/linebacker, was arrested. According to a CBS News report, Pass was arrested Wednesday in Rhode Island after police say he assaulted an 82-year-old man. The argument allegedly started over exercise equipment at a Planet Fitness. Pass was accused of assaulting a person over 60 years of age, causing bodily harm. The incident happened on August 28 at the Planet Fitness gym in North Providence. Police said Pass and the 82-year-old man got into a verbal altercation. During the struggle, Pass pushed the man, who fell to the ground. The man was wounded in the lower back. Pass was arraigned in a Rhode Island court and his bond was set at $10,000. Passo was ordered to have no contact with the victim. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 8. In 2000, New England selected Pass in the seventh round. He ended up playing for the franchise for seven years and helped win three Super Bowls. He played in 79 career games, including one in his final year with the New York Giants. During those appearances, Pass carried the ball 128 times for 526 yards and three touchdowns. Pass also caught 66 passes for 570 yards and a touchdown. So far, no other details have been revealed and we will not speculate anything.
