Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski did not hold back in his post-game comments after a controversial 28-24 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Stefanski openly criticized the officiating, suggesting several crucial calls went against his team, ultimately influencing the outcome of the game.
“I’m not one to blame officials, but even a blind man could see some of those calls were wrong,” Stefanski remarked. His frustrations centered around a series of penalties in the fourth quarter, including a questionable pass interference call and an apparent missed holding penalty that allowed the Steelers to extend a crucial drive.
The Browns, fighting to stay atop the AFC North standings, were in a tightly contested game until the final whistle. Players echoed Stefanski’s concerns, with defensive end Myles Garrett saying, “It felt like we were playing against more than just the Steelers tonight.”
Despite the loss, Stefanski emphasized the need to stay focused on the rest of the season. However, his post-game comments have sparked debates among fans and analysts, with some calling for greater accountability for officiating in the NFL.
