“Hefty Fine for Ravens CB After SHOCKING Taunt Against Steelers – The NFL Reacts!”

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey was fined $11,255 for unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting) during last Saturday’s 34-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Humphrey held the ball out towards Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III after his pick-six, though he was not penalized during the game.

Following the game, Humphrey explained that he was attempting to pitch the ball to his teammate, linebacker David Ojabo, rather than taunting the Steelers. “I was trying to pitch him the football. Some people thought it looked like taunting, but that was not my intention,” Humphrey clarified.

The Steelers, down 17-7, managed to tie the game at 17-17 late in the third quarter. However, the Ravens regained momentum with a touchdown drive, and after a crucial fourth-and-6 stop, Humphrey intercepted a pass from Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky and returned it 37 yards for a touchdown, putting the Ravens ahead 31-17 with just over 13 minutes remaining.

Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky commented on the turning point, saying, “I thought the defense did well to get the ball back, but I threw a bad pass and they made a play.”

In addition to Humphrey’s fine, Steelers All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was also fined $11,255 for a face mask penalty on Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers.
