Joel Bitonio Breaks Silence on Kevin Stefanski’s Future Amid Disastrous Season

The Cleveland Browns are gearing up for significant changes following the conclusion of their disappointing 2024 season, which saw the team win just three games despite playoff aspirations. With the final game against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, the organization will soon begin exit interviews to assess the season and plan for 2025.

Veteran offensive guard Joel Bitonio has been vocal about the team’s struggles and shared his thoughts on head coach Kevin Stefanski ahead of his exit meeting with the front office. Bitonio expressed confidence in Stefanski’s leadership and the culture he has built within the team.

“I think the standard of what he’s created is still there,” said Bitonio. “The locker room has faith in Coach Stefanski. I don’t think anybody’s sitting here saying, ‘Oh man, if we would have done this a little differently.’ We understand his message, and more than anything, we want to live up to it for him. The culture is still intact.”

Bitonio also noted that Stefanski has consistently addressed areas for improvement throughout the season, but the team was unable to execute those changes effectively. He acknowledged the coach’s determination to ensure that losing doesn’t become a habit for the franchise.

“Losing is unacceptable, and he’s talked about that. We can’t let this become the norm. This isn’t what we want,” Bitonio added.

As the Browns prepare for their season finale, the focus will soon shift to how the team can rebound and ensure a better performance next year.
