“From Unknown to Unstoppable: Packers’ Secret Weapon Revealed!”

Green Bay Packers defensive end Brenton Cox Jr. has been making waves during the 2024 season, earning praise from teammates and coaches alike. The 24-year-old, who joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2023, has capitalized on increased opportunities since becoming a starter in Week 11 after the team traded Preston Smith to the Steelers.

Defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich recently commended Cox’s development, and star defensive end Rashan Gary echoed those sentiments in an interview with Bill Huber of *Sports Illustrated.*

“He’s a dog, man. He’s a dog,” Gary said. “I’ve seen it since OTAs and camp. He’s like a silent assassin. Whenever his number is called, he’s ready to make a big play. We depend on him now.”

Gary also highlighted Cox’s work ethic, preparation, and eagerness to learn, noting how Cox has embraced tips on reading formations and playing faster.

Cox has quietly become a valuable part of Green Bay’s defense. His standout performance came in Week 16 during the Packers’ 34-0 win over the Saints, where he recorded six pressures, including a sack on Spencer Rattler for a seven-yard loss.

In seven games this season, Cox has tallied 12 total tackles, five tackles for loss, four sacks, and one forced fumble, solidifying his status as an emerging defensive force.
