Steelers Reward veteran quarterback with Two-Year Contract Extension

The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially extended the contract of their rising star quarterback, Kenny Pickett, for an additional two years. This move cements Pickett’s role as the leader of the team and demonstrates the franchise’s commitment to building around him for the future.

Pickett, who was drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, quickly won over Steelers fans with his poise, playmaking ability, and clutch performances. Last season, he delivered several critical victories, including multiple game-winning drives that kept the Steelers in playoff contention.

“I’m incredibly grateful to the organization and to Steelers Nation for believing in me,” Pickett said during a press conference. “It’s an honor to wear the black and gold, and I’m ready to get to work and bring success to this team and city.”

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin praised Pickett’s development and leadership. “Kenny has shown tremendous growth both as a player and a leader. His work ethic and determination make him the perfect quarterback for this team moving forward,” Tomlin stated.

The two-year extension, while securing stability at the quarterback position, is reportedly worth a substantial sum with performance-based incentives. This investment indicates the Steelers’ confidence in Pickett’s ability to lead them back to championship glory.

Fans have expressed excitement about the extension, with many viewing it as the first step toward a bright future for the team. As the Steelers prepare for the 2025 season, expectations are high, and Kenny Pickett is firmly at the center of their plans.
