Kentucky’s basketball sensation, Jordan Matthews, has etched his name into the history books, breaking the all-time scoring record for the University of Kentucky. The 21-year-old shooting guard achieved this remarkable feat during a thrilling home game against the Florida Gators, where he surpassed the previous record of 2,789 points set by Wildcats legend Dan Issel.

 

As Matthews sank a deep three-pointer in the final minutes of the second half, Rupp Arena erupted in celebration, with fans, teammates, and coaches showering him with applause. The game was briefly paused as Kentucky head coach John Calipari presented Matthews with a commemorative ball, marking the historic moment.
