
Tragedy struck at Cranmore Mountain Resort over the weekend when a man lost his life following a skiing accident. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, after receiving reports of a skier who had lost control on one of the intermediate trails.
According to resort officials, the man, whose identity has not yet been released pending family notification, was skiing alone when the incident occurred. Ski patrol arrived promptly and administered first aid before transporting him down the mountain to awaiting paramedics. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital in North Conway.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances leading to the accident. Weather and trail conditions at the time were reported to be normal, and no foul play is suspected.
Cranmore Mountain Resort released a statement expressing their condolences to the victim’s family and emphasizing their ongoing commitment to safety.
