In a surprising turn of events, ESPN analyst Jay Bilas has sparked concern among Duke basketball fans with his latest comments about top recruit Cooper Flagg. Speaking during a recent segment, Bilas hinted that the highly-touted freshman may not stay at Duke for long — and possibly not for the reasons fans were expecting.
While many anticipated Flagg to be a one-and-done player en route to the NBA, Bilas suggested that early issues — possibly involving injuries, adjustment struggles, or team chemistry — could impact Flagg’s trajectory at Duke. “There are some rumblings around the program,” Bilas noted. “I wouldn’t be shocked if this doesn’t play out the way Duke fans are hoping.”
