Lexington, KY – Big Blue Nation is buzzing with joy as Kentucky Wildcats basketball standout Reed Sheppard has announced his upcoming wedding and is inviting teammates, fans, and local officials to join in the celebration.
The 21-year-old guard, known for his sharpshooting and electric energy on the court, shared the news on social media Friday evening, posting a heartfelt message and a photo of him with his fiancée, longtime girlfriend Emily Harper.
“From the court to forever. I’m so blessed to be taking this next step with the love of my life. Kentucky will always be home — and I want to celebrate with the people who’ve supported me every step of the way,” Sheppard wrote.
The wedding is scheduled for late July and will feature a pre-wedding fan meet-and-greet event at Rupp Arena, where fans can leave personal messages, sign a commemorative guest jersey, and celebrate alongside the Wildcat community.
Coach John Calipari, current and former teammates, and several university officials are expected to attend the ceremony, which will be held in a private location but broadcast highlights will be shared with the public after the event.
As Sheppard prepares for a possible NBA future, he’s reminding everyone that family, love, and Kentucky pride come first.
Congratulations, Reed and Emily!
