The NFL community is buzzing after the Cleveland Browns announced the surprise addition of former Chicago Bears defensive standout Al Wilson to their coaching staff. Wilson, a hard-hitting linebacker known for his leadership and field vision, will take on the role of Linebackers Coach as the Browns gear up for the 2025 season.
Wilson, who spent the prime of his NFL career terrorizing offenses in a Bears uniform, brings years of elite playing experience and a championship mindset to a Browns team aiming to solidify itself as a perennial playoff contender.
“Al is the definition of toughness and leadership,” said Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. “He’s played at the highest level and knows what it takes to win. His insight and intensity will be invaluable for our defense.”
Although Wilson originally made his mark in the SEC and later became a Denver Broncos legend, his brief but impactful time with the Chicago Bears showcased his adaptability and mentorship. Now, he brings that same mindset to a coaching role in Cleveland.
