In one of the most ambitious stadium projects in NFL history, the Cleveland Browns have announced a groundbreaking $4.5 billion renovation plan for their lakefront stadium, aiming to transform it into a world-class sports and entertainment hub.
Browns owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam revealed the bold vision during a press conference today, describing it as a “legacy-defining investment” that will modernize the stadium and elevate the fan experience to unprecedented heights.
“This isn’t just a facelift—it’s a complete reimagining of what an NFL stadium can be,” said Jimmy Haslam. “We’re building a home worthy of the Dawg Pound and a destination for all of Cleveland.”
Highlights of the Renovation Include:
A state-of-the-art retractable roof and climate-controlled interior to enable year-round use.
A panoramic 360-degree video board and cutting-edge sound system for immersive game-day energy.
Enhanced luxury suites, revamped general seating, and fan-first amenities throughout.
New public spaces, restaurants, and retail zones integrated into the lakefront community.
The plan also includes improved transportation access and sustainability initiatives to ensure long-term environmental impact is minimized.
Construction is slated to begin in mid-2026 and will be executed in phases to keep the stadium operational during the NFL season.
Executive Vice President JW Johnson added, “This project is about future-proofing our franchise and showing the world what Cleveland is capable of. It’s more than football—it’s about pride, progress, and passion.”
Fans can expect to see design reveals and community engagement opportunities in the coming months.
