In a major recognition of their stellar performances this season, Kentucky Wildcats standouts Reed Sheppard and Justin Edwards have been named to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Team of the Season shortlist.

 

Sheppard, the dynamic sophomore guard, has dazzled fans and scouts alike with his court vision, elite perimeter shooting, and relentless defense. Averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 assists, and 2.1 steals per game, Sheppard played a pivotal role in Kentucky’s deep tournament run.

 

Meanwhile, forward Justin Edwards has emerged as one of the most versatile wings in the country. Known for his explosive athleticism and improved outside shot, Edwards posted averages of 14.2 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, often guarding the opposing team’s best scorer.

 

Wildcats head coach Mark Pope praised both players, saying, “They’ve worked their tails off all year. This is a huge moment for them and for our program. I couldn’t be prouder.”
