The University of Kentucky’s storied basketball program could be facing serious consequences, as the NCAA prepares to impose a significant fine following an investigation into alleged violations of player recruitment protocols.
According to multiple sources familiar with the matter, the NCAA’s enforcement division has concluded a months-long inquiry into the Kentucky Wildcats’ recruiting practices. The investigation reportedly uncovered evidence suggesting that representatives of the program engaged in impermissible contact with prospective student-athletes and their families.
