Rising basketball star Otega Oweh is giving back to the community in a big way. The dynamic guard, known for his explosive athleticism and work ethic on the court, has announced he will be hosting a youth basketball camp this July in Lexington, Kentucky.
Geared toward aspiring athletes aged 10–17, the camp aims to provide skill development, mentorship, and inspiration for the next generation of players. Oweh, who has become a fan favorite for his electrifying performances, says this camp is about more than just basketball.
> “It’s about giving these kids a vision for their future,” Oweh shared in a recent statement. “I was once in their shoes — dreaming big but unsure how to take that first step. This camp is about showing them that with discipline, dedication, and the right mindset, anything is possible.”
The week-long camp will feature hands-on drills, competitive scrimmages, and Q&A sessions with Oweh and other guest athletes and coaches. Participants will also receive official camp gear and personalized feedback to help elevate their game.
Oweh emphasized the importance of using his platform to uplift others.
> “Talent is everywhere — it just needs opportunity. I want to be that opportunity for someone.”
Registration for the Lexington Youth Basketball Camp opens June 10, and spots are expected to fill quickly.
