The 34-year-old former Wildcat made the emotional revelation via a social media post early Sunday morning, writing: \u201cIt\u2019s time. After years of highs, lows, and unforgettable moments, I\u2019m stepping away from the game I\u2019ve given everything to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cousins, who played one of the most dominant freshman seasons in Kentucky history under Coach John Calipari in 2009-10, had been working tirelessly on a return to the hardwood following a series of injuries that plagued the latter half of his career.
